Yummiest Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are the best Chocolate Chip Cookies that I have eaten in a long, long time.

Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups (about 12 ounces) semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the butter with both sugars; beat on medium speed until light and fluffy. Reduce speed to low; add the salt, vanilla, and eggs. Beat until well mixed, about 1 minute. Add flour mixture; mix until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Step 2
Drop heaping tablespoon-size balls of dough about 2 inches apart on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.

Step 3
Bake until cookies are golden around the edges, but still soft in the center, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven, and let cool on baking sheet 1 to 2 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack, and let cool completely. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature up to 1 week.

Gotta Have Faith

Gotta Have Faith.
Every time I hear that I think of the song, You gotta have faith by George Micheal.
But it is true. You gotta have faith. But there is a catch to that, James 2:14-26 basically states that faith without works and deeds is dead.
So as you pray throughout your day and you have faith in the Lord our God remember that you need to preform works and deeds as well. Be kind to others, say hi to people you don't know and if you see someone in need give them a Hand Up not a help out.
God Bless You All

You Gotta Love Your Dog

I have the funniest darn dog at times.
He loves to go out and dig in the dirt after it rains and gets all muddy. Muddier than should be normal for a dog. Not only is it all over him but he likes to eat the dirt too so his mouth gets full of mud. Silly darn dog. No idea why he likes it so much.
Then he gets a bath after words. A bath is a bath no big deal. But the silliest part of all is after his bath. I dry him off with a hair dryer and he just lies on the floor with his feet in the air as happy as he can possibly be. Silly, silly dog.
Gotta tell ya, I do love that dog.
God Bless You All : )
